Roomies unite!!

So all the way back in March, I went up to St George Utah and had a good ol Dixie College roommate reunion. This was the first time in 15 years I'd seen some of them! And when we got together, it was like no time had passed at all! Don't you just love that?? We had a lot of fun talking and laughing and reminiscing about the good ol' days. Back then, life was so much simpler, (of course you never think so at the time) It was the days of college classes and mid terms and college boys and crappy jobs and the only one you had to fend for...was yourself! It was the days of Top Ramen, Mac n Cheese, Cup o Noodles prepared in the microwave, MTV in the morning before class, grilled cheese at lunch, walking everywhere on campus from class to class listening to a walkman, signing up for the Fitness Center for an easy A but never working out and still getting an A, hanging out at the Pizza Factory because you're friend had a crush on one of the servers, church dances at the Institute across the street, heading to Mesquite for a weekend, or going all the way to Vegas to play and then drive back that same night because we had to teach Relief Society the next morning, excited for the Home Teachers to come over if they were cute, not walking over the "chastity line" in the apts (that's what attending a college in the state of Utah gets ya :) :) Also don't forget doing the macarena at the apt parties. (Hey, it was the 90's) Such good times. I always tell my 9 year old that she WILL go to college no matter what because it was the BEST!

I steal these next words from my roomie Elisa because she nailed it on the head when she said.
15 years later we:

We ate FroYo but Louise didn't steal the store's welcome mat.
We hot tubbed, but we didn't break in to the pool.
We ate a continental breakfast but actually paid for a room at the hotel.
We got pedicures at a real salon rather than hair growth treatments at the local hair school. (Big hair was still "in" back in the mid-90's)

Have we changed much? No way, except I needed to get ma' roots did!! That's for sure ;-) Thanks for the fun weekend get away girls! And let's not go another 15 years before we do it all again!
