The Cure, a concert in Vegas, and a cool wife

Who: The Cure
What: An awesome band that has been making and playing music for decades.
When: Friday night
Where: At the Palms casino in viva Las Vegas
Why: That is the question...why did my hubby go all the way to Vegas to see a band play that he's loved for years?
Because I let him, which means I, his wife, totally rock.

Eric got a call a while ago from a friend saying he had an extra ticket to see The Cure in concert in Las Vegas on April 17th.
I would love to have seen The Cure too, but there was only one ticket, and honestly, he likes them more than me.
This was a chance that wouldn't come along again and we had just gotten our tax return, so that's really how it was possible...but not quite possible for all of us to buy plane tickets from here to there.

If only we were stationed in Vegas, this could have been alot easier I might add!

So he'll be gone for the next 3 days. When a wife is apart from her hubby often enough, and usually for long periods of time due to deployments to Iraq, you are a single mom.
Which means, you are solely the one that gets to watch 'kids shows' with the kids.

I remember having a conversation with my sister-in-law at the time once about how when you're apart long enough from your spouse, even the Wiggles start looking good.

At the time of this conversation, my brother was in the Army and deployed to Korea, and Eric was on a 5 month deployed to Iraq. I'd just given birth to Chase, without Eric there thanks to that deployment, and she had given birth 12 days after me. Since her and I had our babies 12 days apart, we were both hormonally unbalanced to say the least.

So we started asking each other one day... "okay, if you had to pick one, which would it be?" If we just had to pick one...we both agreed on 'the blue Wiggle..Anthony". Sad, I know.
It didn't stop there. We went through and thought of all the possibilities of kids shows, with humans in them, which i won't scare you off with, but I've asked other military spouses, and they can understand the insanity of which i speak, for they too have questioned which Wiggle they would choose.

Thankfully Eric will be back Sunday, and I'm thinking that it's not gonna be long enough for me to start looking forward to seeing "Sportucus" from the Nick Jr show "LazyTown".

And don't get me started on the Imagination Movers...
