For Valentine's this year, i wanted to 'make' all the decorations that I would hang up. I've been seeing these crepe paper roses for a while and wanted to try my hand at making them...so i did! I can't remember the exact tutorial i watched on You Tube to learn, but there's tons so it wasn't hard to find one.
Everything i needed to make the wreathe i picked up at the Dollar Store...except my glue gun, i already had that.
Materials I used:
Elmers glue
crepe paper (red and pink)
wreath
glue gun and a lot of glue sticks
You start by cutting 24 in long strips of crepe paper
Then fold it over so it's not so wide...
Then you just start rolling it.
Keep twisting it as your wrapping it around itself and to finish it up, glue the end to the rose with the Elmers glue.
Then with your gluestick, glue the roses around the wreath
Tie some ribbon around it and hang it wherever!!!
The ribbon i used to hang it also came from the Dollar Store at Christmas time.
This was my table topper. The bowl came from Goodwill (3 dollars) and all the rest came from the Dollar Store. I spray painted the balls pink and red.
The letters behind the bowl spell HOME but i haven't decided where or what color I want those to be yet...any suggestions?? I'm really diggin orange and blue lately!
I hope everyone had a groovy V-day! I got beautiful flowers and yum chocolates delivered to me from my hubs all the way in Afghanistan. He's totally rocks!
It didn't take long for Chase's hand to find it's way into my chocolates!!!!
But that's okay, he filled in for my Valentine this year...
I sure love my kids and don't know what I'd do without them!

Your wreath turned out so cute! You are such a crafty lady. Now I can harass Scott even more for slacking on Valentines, if your hubs can get you flowers and chocolates while halfway around the world.
Hope you are doing well!
Love the wreath! Great job. Wish we lived close so we could play.
