Turning 33= awesome

I turned the big three three on Saturday.
It started with Eric getting up at 430am, and going to Walmart to shop for ingredients to make a FAB breakfast in bed, which is one of my best-loved things for your little FYI!
(He even remembered to include a lactaid pill for my lame lactose intolerance since there was yum-meeeee whip cream!)

Then we decided to surprise Allie with breakfast in bed, but not Chase...no no. You don't wake Chase up for something as absurd as homemade pancakes adorned with fresh fruit like: kiwis, strawberries, raspberries and blueberries covered in just the right amount of whip cream, and, "for your information, whipped cream isn't whipped cream at all unless it's been whipped with whips. Everybody knows that."

Then we got dressed and went to the Aria Casino in City Center to get dessert from this place where there-are-no-words-to-describe-the-benevolent-desserts-that-are-sold, but not before stopping by my favorite wall, the one that holds the "9 faces of Christopher Walken" photo posters along the north east wall of the casino. All of them are awesome.
(This one happens to be my fav one, in case you wondered...)

Thennnnnn, we headed over to the Jean Philippe Patisserie, the place I was talking about earlier, like 5.7 seconds earlier, where, if you so desire, you can die and go to chocolate heaven.
And I did, i died that day, and went to chocolate heaven at 10 in the morning.
(This was the one I picked. It was so beauteous it was almost hard to start eating it, almost, but not really hard at all, because I mean, look at it! YUM)

(This was Allie's pick, even better!)

(And this bad boy was the one Eric and Chaser had. Those boys opted out of going to chocolate heaven and after having a bite of theirs, I could see why....just as good as ours!!)

(Even the little squares on the side with the fancy design were made outta chocolate...genius!)

(The Chaser enjoying a bite of mine, while unknowingly falling into chocolate heaven)

(And last but not least, my choclate lovin compadre, Allie, enjoying her pick o' the day)

Then after we came back to life, we came home and the Chaser had his weekly Saturday afternoon autism therapy for 2 hours. When that was done, my in-laws came and picked up the kids and Eric and I went to The Cheesecake Factory in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.

Oh my Hannah Montana that place is goooood! I hadn't darkened their doorway for years! It had been way too long and I won't be making that mistake again!
For desert we ordered a piece of lemon raspberry cheesecake, and then shopped at the Forum Shops for a while, all while saying 'Oh remember when this store was that, or when that store was this?' The forum shops have changed alot in the past several years. It's fun being married to someone that grew up in Vegas too and having shared the same memories of your youth, but not knowing each other until we became 'grown-ups' and sharing them together, later.

The next day, we had a contest with my in-laws to see who could fit 33 candles in a cupcake.
Eric and his dad won.
(Eric's masterpiece, which then later sort of exploded)

(Does that size of a flame mean I'm old??)

(My father-in-law's masterpiece)

(His caught the paper on fire, yep, I'm old)

I may be old, but it was the best.....birthday.......I eva eva had.

I'm glad your birthday was so awesome. Maybe I should move there for one of mine too. I bet I would want to do the same things you guys did. I'm already looking forward to the next time I drive through there so I can go to the patisserie!
I love your posts. You have a great family. You lucky lady!

So fun, I love the way you think/write. Whenever you "like" something on facebook I have to laugh because most of the time I have had the same thoughts. I love that you said, "oh my hannah montana" too, I have found myself saying holy hannah montana lately, and I am not sure why. I am glad you had an awesome birthday. I was drooling over those dessert pictures.

I'm sorry about your toe. I broke my 4th finger on my left hand and thought I was gonna die too! And it went through a rainbow of colors and changes and I couldnt use the thing for months. Thats because I broke the thing playing softball.
I love all the crafty things you have done with your house. you are an inspiration! I think I will have to try some of that out! GREAT WORK! They all look great!
You are such a wonderful example! Thank you for being such a great example to me!
Loves, Loralee

I know I'm sad and pathetic for reading this now that it's December, but I had to say- at least it wasn't your hair that caught on fire this year. Loves to you HC!
