Yea, it feels like this...

Boy did i know what this guy was feelin yesterday.
I get migraines
At least once a month, sometimes more.
I often have cluster headaches, but the migraine kind, yeah, always at least one.
I sometimes feel like the migraine is my best friend.
But i'd rather have someone else, like Eric, be my best friend on those days migraine comes to visit.
Yesterday, thank-good-ness, the kids were both in school and Chase had a morning off from therapy....because i got a migraine.
And wouldn't ya know, my migraine pills stopped working.
How delightful!
So the whole day was spent at home, trying not to move, and waiting for the medicine to 'kick in' that never kicked in. Eventually, after taking more with ibuprofin, it let up, just before it was time to get the kids.
Whew.
But whenever the migraine comes for a visit, it always take a me another day to feel fully back to normal.
Which is why this morning i rolled outta bed, threw on the PJ's i had worn the night before, which happen to be a very fashionable baby blue snowflake concept and the most comfy PJ's you could wear in the whole wide world and got the kids ready for school.
As we were getting ready to leave, Allie says to me....
Allie: "Mom, you're NOT going to wear that to take me to school are you?"
Me: "Oh, um, (me looking down realizing i hadn't gotten dressed yet)...well, i'll just throw my jacket on and no one will notice."
Allie: But mom, what if we're late and we have to go to the office?
Me: We won't be late.
Allie: But what if the principal wants to see you?
Me: She won't.
Allie: But what if the neighbor's see you?
Me: They're still asleep.
Allie:Oh mom ( in a moaning tone)

In my defense, i am usually dressed when i take her to school, and i never get out of the car.
But this morning, i was still in recovery.

I'm awe struck that my oldest child is at that stage already where everything mom does in public causes mental discomfort.
Things that could cause mental discomfort to your children:

~Taking kids to school in your PJ's...even tho your car windows are limo tinted=mental discomfort.

~Rolling down the window and waving to your child after they get out of the car when you drop them off=mental discomfort (you might as well have thrown a live grenade into a crowd for the shocked look you could receive.)

~Calling out their name so they'll turn around and see you waving at them while standing next to your car wearing baby blue snowflake donned Christmas pajamas.....
priceless.

I'm taking mental notes so I know what to do when Emily reaches this stage. So funny!
