Today is the following Sunday.
I have yet to plaster pics of my kids on their 'first day of school'.
Am i fired? No? Okay.
So, now that they're both in school all day, i have more time, well, not really, but at least i have the house to myself for a while.
It's funny to me that in New Mexico, kindergarten is all day for 7 hours. Then we move here, and school is only 6 hours. I think it's safe to say that Allie was more than prepared for 1st grade. Kindergarten here is only half day, which makes it a transition for when the kiddos enter 1st grade, but Allie loses an hour! Although i am not complaining, because school starts an hour later, which is nice, so i can actually take her to school 'ready for the day' and not in my PJ's like last year. Anyway, i digress.
Allie's school started wearing uniforms this year, which made it much easier when going 'school clothes shopping' because our choices weren't really choices i suppose! We just had to go to the 'school uniform section' at Old Navy, and wah-lah...except that we left it until 2 days before school started so there was nothing left. Plus we forgot the 'list' of approved colors for shirts she can wear, so on the first day, she wore the "wrong color of blue" and had to attend the "Your wearing the wrong colored shirt" assembly. Oops.
But now, at the end of the first week, i think we got it down.
Here in this picture, we finally got it right.Yeah for school and all the rules!! Right?
It's still 100 million degrees outside here, so i'm happy school is in and they have something else to do.
Oh, and P.S. I love love love Chase's bus driver this year.

I am glad that you got Allie the "right" clothes and school is going well. Xan started Kinder this year yes i still too have yet to post it oh the joys! I wish that it was a full day here as well as he comes home at 12:00 and then is so so so bored and wants me to call everyone for a playdate yipee!
