I am turning 32 tomorrow.
And on my 32nd b-day, i will be going to Chase's new school for his 'meet and greet' at 9am, to meet his new teacher. Then at 2, i will go to Allie's. Plus the 5 hours of autism therapy at home, which is going great by the way.
But needless to say, things have been busy.
With the 5 hours a day of in home therapy for Chase, the days seem short, but packed with errands more than ever. Hence, why i haven't blogged since Aug 10th...really, that long eh?
School starts on Aug 24th and the ever so loving 'bus anxiety' felt by me, not Chase, who is the one who actually rides the bus, begins again. y-e-a-h.

I really hope this time, we aren't 'forgotten' about when there is a bus sub, and that i can remember all the rules accompanied with properly 'waiting for the bus'...like....if you stand at the wrong spot or even close to the wrong spot, meaning...not DIRECTLY in front of your house, you get 10 lashings and a lecture worth the fiery spray of a thousand suns.
I am speaking from experience here people.
What's really fun, and what takes the cake, is when the substitute bus driver drives past your house, and then lies to you and says you weren't "out there" waiting in the "right spot" when in fact, the said substitute bus driver was actually on the next street over, waiting at a house which happens to look exactly like your house with the same house number as your house, and she won't believe you. That was a fun morning, about as much fun as a trip to the ER. But this year, this year will be better I tell you! We won't be forgotten about, passed by, lied to, or made to feel like i just fell off the turnip truck.
This will be Allie's 3rd school since starting pre-school. Ah the military life, but she doesn't care, just as long as she gets to go to school. This will be our first experience with 'year round...aka...12 month' schools, so we'll see how it all goes on our first 'track break', and our first time sending the kids to school that's not 'on base'. Ooohhh, going to school with civilians...how zestful!
Also, Allie's school is sportin uniforms this year.

Allie was all fine and dandy with it, until i hesitantly had to burst her bubble and tell her that nowhere on her clothing were any Barbie or Disney Princess allowed to grace their presence. Tears flowed freely but slowed down when i mentioned she could still take her Disney princess backpack to school and as soon as she came home, she could change into her princess shirts and shorts and all would be right with the world again.

I have yet to tell her than when winter comes, her jackets can only be blue, beige or white. No pinks, purples or light blue's.
I'll cross that mountain when the time deems necessary, but for now, while it's still 112 degrees outside, I think i've got some time to figure out a way to dull that upcoming kick in the stomach.
By the way, because tomorrow is my b-day, i get a free DQ Blizzard, due to being a member of the very elite DQ Blizzard of the month club, in-which you get to have a free one on "your day"...after purchasing one of equal or lesser value.
None the less, i'm so all over that busines tomorrow, so you know where to find me.
And in case you're wondering what the blizzard of this month is....wonder no more: The Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookie blizzard.
Y-U-M.

Happy Birthday tomorrow!! I turn 33 next Thursday...did you remember our birthdays are so close?
I.Love.School.Uniforms.
Seriously.
I really wanted to buy Miriam khaki pleated skirts and navy polos for school, but my sisters reminded me that in public school, the key element is fitting in. So, sadly she will wear jeans and t-shirts like the masses.
Happy Birthday Amber!
