Allie's good ideas

This is how I found Allie sleeping last night when I went to check on her. There are 3 different themes going on here....
1. Disney Princess Sheets
2. Dora and Deigo soccer blanket made lovingly by Grandma and Grandpa Solomon
3. Spongebob pillow, yes, Becky Storms, i still love Spongebob and so do my kiddos :)
4. She's of course holding on to her bear that dad brought her back from Iraq 3.5 years ago
5. She's sleeping on her purple bean bag.
When i was reading her the book we got from the library today, she wanted to put her bean bag on the bed and sit on it while i read to her. Then after the book reading was done, she went on to say she wanted to sleep on her bean bag. I said, "That's cool", thinking that she'd think it was uncomfortable after a while. But when i went to check on her before i went to bed, she was sound asleep, with her bear (who's name is 'beary') in her arms , the thumb in the mouth (still haven't kicked that habit) and wearin' nothin' but her skivvy's. She stayed that way until at 530am i heard her calling my name cause she was poopin something fierce on the throne. Still trying to kick the stomach bug...


Today was mis matched shoe and sock day at school. It's all part of the SAY NO TO DRUGS campaign. Tomorrow is wear red day. They call it Red Ribbon Week.
Allie did not know what 'drugs' were. I tried to explain. She still didn't get it...that's ok, she's only 6. At school she's learning everyday this week that they are B-A-D and to never use them. Yeah for my drug free kiddo!!
