Here Ye Here Ye!!

Attention Attention Everyone:

I was informed today by the wonderful Mrs Campbell (Chase's preschool teacher) that Chase went pee pee on the potty!
She also told me he initiated it.

One may wonder what the big deal is..he is almost 3.5 years old now so he 'should have probably' already been doing that numerous times by now...but, as we all know, Chase has autism. And doing the pee pee and the poo poo on the potty isn't Chase's top priority. I've met a few parents of children with autism and potty training is very difficult and the children are still in pull ups at 7 yrs old. Kiddos with autism are very strong minded so if they're not ready, then..they're not ready..period. Hard to imagine but it's true.
Chase has done the pee pee in the potty only once for me, months ago but i think it was just 'good timing.'

Here's how it usually goes with Chase at bath time.

-He is stripped down to his birthday suit.
-He is sat on the toilet
-We smile at each other and laugh, not sure why we laugh, but we laugh because Chase laughs and I love seeing The Chase laugh
-Then Chase gets off the pot and proceeds to the tub to pour water on Allie's head and out of the tub until there is a river.....which isn't all bad, because then i get to wipe it up and I feel like my floor just got a moppin' :)

Is potty training in the NEAR future? I'd like to think so! Kudos to my Chase. And yes, the t.p. roll is empty on the t.p. roll holder thing-y.
