Inconceivable!

I can never hear or think of that word without thinking of Vizzini, the bald Sicilian with a lisp on the movie Princess Bride. And then that leads me to think about Indigo Montoya saying to Vizzini "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. " and then the second you hear the name Inigo Montoya, you can't help but remember the line "HELLO. My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die".
But I digress. I haven't been blogging much since Eric's been deployed, which is when I should be blogging more since he's gone and he'll wanna see pics and hear stories about his offspring, but because he's gone, I don't have time to blog. It's a vicious cycle people, vicious.

When you're almost 9 yr old asks you if you still blog, that means the time to blog is due, past due really.

There's really not much to blog about EXCEPT for the coolest thing that happened.
Chase wrote his first sentence! I'm talking, a real sentence, not a traced one! When things like that happen, all the time, energy, money and therapy that's put into that blond haired, blue eyed gem is SO worth it! All of that would be worth it regardless of course, but it's so much more rewarding, regardless :) Now I'm like Vizzini using the same word too much, but without a lisp. And I know what it means in case Inigo Montoya asks me.

Here's the first one:

This first one shows Chase tracing the sentence, practicing it. So cute.

This second one is him writing the sentence all on his own...no tracing!

Then this last one is just darn cute with his crazy blue handprint and 'un'traced sentence.
I just love these. It gives me so much hope for him in 1st grade. I know things will get harder next school year but seeing these accomplishments makes me so happy and hopeful!

P.S. Today was Memorial Day and I'm so glad and grateful I was able to spend it with family, especially since my hubs is away in Afghanistan. Thank you to all who have served and are serving our great country today. We are free and happy because of you!

I'm not sure who said this but I like it:
"From the bitter cold winter at Valley Forge, to the mountains of Afghanistan and the deserts of Iraq, our soldiers have courageously answered when called, gone where ordered, and defended our nation with honor."
