This is the story of our life together, and the joy we are finding in our journey through autism

Allie got baptized! She's 8! Oh my!
My baby got baptized.
The girl who, just yesterday, was my baby girl, and now she's 8 and continuing to grow up.
There's nothing I can do to stop it either!
I cannot handle this, but it must be so.
She got baptized on October 9th.
When we walked into the Relief Society room to watch the baptism, Chase, as soon as he saw the font full of water, said "Bathtub!" and proceeded to try and climb over the front cover trying to get in. I wish i had snapped a picture of it...for it was mucho funny-o!
Then when Allie and Eric stepped into the font and were getting ready to start the prayer, all you could hear was "Allie take a bath! Allie....take a bath!" "Bat-tized"
After the baptism, we had a luncheon at my in-laws. It was yummo and fun! Everyone had a good time and Allie was glowing all day. When we asked her if she felt different after she was baptized and confirmed, she said "Yeah! I do! I feel the Spirit!"
She's growing up and I cannot handle this.
But if she has to grow up, I'm proud of what she's growing into. A beautiful, sweet, angel daughter whom i love with all my heart! She's already learning how the Holy Ghost can work in her life and listens to his promptings and heeds them! What a smart girl!
Wow, aren't we a photogenic group of folks eh?? I'm just glad we could get this done before Eric leaves for Afghanistan.
It was a great day for our family and I'm so proud of my wonderful Allie!

Thanks for posting this. Since I couldn't be at her baptism in person, this is next best thing. Tell her how proud I am of her decision to be baptised!
That's so awesome! We did that back in June and I'm sure you agree there is no better feeling.
