My oldest....is 8! I'm not okay with this at all.

My Allie, my first born, turned 8 this month.
Where did the time go?
It seems like just yesterday she was a baby and we were living in our two bedroom apt in Tucson Arizona. Eric was gone most of my pregnancy with Allie due to joining the Air Force and heading off to boot camp and tech school.
I was about 3 months preg when he left, so i didn't look preg yet, and when he returned, i was 36 almost 37 weeks preg and swollen.
We got stationed at Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson Arizona right after he got home from tech school and were only there for 10 months when we got orders to move to Okinawa Japan.
The only thing I knew about Okinawa was that Mr Miyagi was from there and in Karate Kid 3, they go there.
After we were there for less than 3 months, Eric went to Iraq and i had my Allie to keep me company. She was my little buddy. It was always her and I, we had each other whenever Eric had to deploy.

And now, she's 8, and wants to be with her friends every second that she's not at school.


On her b-day, Eric and I brought her McDonalds for lunch at school.

The kids around her died when they saw she had Mickey Dee's for lunch.....at school.

But we brought cupcakes for her classmates, so that brought 'em back to life.

Then for dinner she requested Little Sleazers (Little Caesers) cheese pizza...easy!

We had her b-day party in August before school started. So glad we did!

(This nightmare of a cake was my attempt at making a barbie doll cake. Allie's party was Princess and the Frog themed, so i thought i could do it. I should know better. When i was created, i wasn't given the "creative/able to do things that are easy to other people gene." I love Chase's blond head in this picture though!)

(I made this cake on her actual birthday. I went the safe route and it turned out goooood, except Chase ate the exclamation point before we lit the candles. He's knows what's good.)

I've informed Allie that all birthday's stop at 10, for I cannot handle this growing up business.
I only have 2 children, and they are growing up too fast.
I am not okay with this at all!! ;)
