Allie and the straight A

My daughter is smart.
First grade for her has come pretty easy...
Could it be soley because she is 'smart'?
Or maybe because in New Mexico, kindergarten is 7 hours a day where as here in viva las vegas, it's 2.5 hours a day??

I know my girl is sharp, but she also had the advantage of 7 hours of kindergarten a day, and it didn't cost us a thing. In Vegas, if you want your child to have 6 hours of kinder a day, it's a whopping 300 smackaroos a month.
That's down right highway thievery.

(Allie getting an award for having straight A's.)

(Allie with her class of 'smarties')

(Mr Powers, the PE teacher, surprised Allie's class with the award for the 'most outstanding behavior" out of all the classes in Track 3. When the award was announced, it was followed by the proclamation that there will be a snow cone party for the lucky ducks. Following that decloration, all the kids smiled and giggled but Allie threw her hands up in the air and jumped up and down 4 times. It was awesome.)

(Allie and her totally adorable, f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s, 1st grade teacher Miss Indriolo. Allie loves the way she talks because she hails from Buffalo and has an 'accent'.)

She also happens to date a guy that works for the show KA at the MGM. It's a Cirque de Soleil show and all the first graders in Track 3 at Allie's school gets to go on May 5th and have a tour of backstage and learn how the performers do their thing.
Yes, I am going along as one of the 'chaperones'....I'm just as excited as the school kids! Living in Vegas does have its perks every so often :)

I dated a Blue Man once right before I married Matt. It was fun. Saw ALL the shows in vegas with him. Have fun on your fieldtrip!
