Las personas en su vida.

Allie said to me the other day "Mom, i think we should learn spanish".

"Allie" I said "I think that's a fabulous idea"

To translate the title, it says...The people in our life. At least, I think that's what it says...but i don't speak spanish, yet, so let's just gather that's what it says.

It may take me a while to learn, seeing as how memorization is a big part of learning a new language, and seeing as how i can't remember what i did yesterday, alas, this might take a while.

But it's not a bad idea to learn spanish as now we live in Las Vegas and everything here is in english and spanish...i wish i could have helped this elderly women at the D.I. yesterday when she didn't speak a lick of english except "no english" and the cashier was trying to tell her something and no one understood each other. So, the quest to learn, is on!! Oh yeah, it's on.

~Below is a pic of my Sweet Tomatoes lunch gals!
Our friend Becky, the one in the middle, left for Travis AFB, so we sent her off with a fond farewell and miss her already!

I am blessed and honored to have these people in my life.

Becky is an amazing mother, friend and women. She's one of the strongest woman i know...in all aspects of the word.
Did you know she can carry a couch up 3 flights of stairs...by herself? Scouts honor that's true.
Did you know she can drive 2 days straight, with only "some" sleep, all by herself, with 4 kids in tow?
Bet ya didn't know she survived basic training, has moved many times, often without help due to the spouse being deployed, endured many hardships life can dish out, and no matter where she goes, she always lights up a room and makes people smile.
Becky and i seem to follow each other wherever the Air Force takes us.
First it was Okinawa. I got stationed there, then so did she.
Then, she got stationed at Holloman, then so did I.
We're not stationed at the same base right now, but I'm sure in time we will be! We did just get to spend 6 months in the same town tho! Hence the Sweet Tomatoes lunch farewell. I've known Becky almost all my life and I just love her to death and hope she knows what a dear friend she has been to me over the years.

The awesome lady on the left is Valene. What a wonderful person Valene is. Becky and I had the privilege of knowing her at Holloman AFB and got to enjoy her here in Vegas too. Valene is the type of person you never forget and want to be just like. Anywhere she is makes that place better to be. She's fun, sweet, a great mom, has wonderful kids, wears awesome lookin braces on her already beautiful teeth, has a smile and a laugh that is contagious, and will love you no matter what. Anywhere she is, and whoever is around, she brings happiness with her. She is a beautiful, supportive friend and we are lucky to have her in our lives. She's a joy and a hoot to hang out with and she loves Glee! Now let's go visit New Zealand ladies! ;)
