She's 7

My daughter dared to turn 7.

Seems like yesterday she was just 3 and we were living on Okinawa and at the beach everyday.

Now we're in Vegas, she's in 1st grade, and she's smart as a whip, and whip's are smart....
Since her b-day is in Sept, and school started at the end of Aug, and we just moved here, we opted to just have a 'family' b-day party, on her actual b-day, which was on a weekday, so not everyone could come, but next year can be a big friends b-day bash, because she'll know more peeps and turning 8 is, well, kind of a big deal ya know?.

The above pic is her having her 'b-day' breakfast. I'm such a good fun mom, serving up a gourmet bowl of cocoa puffs for breakfast...every child's dream right?

Me and my mama took cupcakes to Allie during her lunch time, her class loved me for it. All other students in the lunch room were dying.

The happy "not dying" kids in lunch room.

Allie's b-day cake. She requested it to be pink and princess-y. If you look close, you will see it has blue glass slippers for Cinder, yellow crown for Sleep Beaut, red apples for Snow White, and pearls for, well, i don't know that one. We have a thing in our fam, no store boughts cakes if it can be helped. Not worth the calories i say!

Chase having a go at the pinata.

Allie taught it a thing or two.

The aftermath.

The loot

One happy girl

Kinda scary looking cake from Baskin Robbins, but the best ice cream cake eva..in the whole world.

Getting happy birthday sung to her by everyone.

There was also lots of Mario Kart Wii played at the party...Allie is the champ. Wins 1st place everytime...kicks everyone's butt and tells me constantly i need to practice while she's at school.

Maybe i'll get around to that one of these days, until then, i'm fine with her being champ and watching Eric lose to a 7 year old every time.

Until next year Allie, have fun being 7!
