These pics are in no particular order...although I think they move backwards from most recent to most un-recent...is that a word??
Here in this lovely pic, Eric and I are enjoying a birthday blizzard from the one and only DQ. I got mine free because it was my bee-day...go me! Also on my b-day, we went to an Irish Pub and ate yummy non-Irish food because Irish food really isn't yummy at all, and I'm allowed to say that because I-am-Irish, so they serve food like you can get at Chile's.
Then we went and saw Inglorious Bastards, and loved it because it's what 'should have' happened to Hitler and all his merry men. Great movie, and of course, i love me some Brad Pitt.
(The kids first day of school waiting outside for the bus to come. I'm such a good mom, see how close Chase is standing next to the street?)
(Got a new hair do...Allie took the pic of my 'new do' and I didn't even check the pic until i uploaded it to see that it is an 'extreme close-up, way too extreme, kind of scary extreme close-up) (And by the way, my hair has not looked like this since that day)
(Got the most fantastic bed in the whole world, and it came like this, but in 6 boxes actually..and in case you were wondering, my sleep number is 35)
( Where they went in Montana was just 14 miles south of Canada. Here they are standing on the "Canada" side...2 rebels with no passport. But walk around to the other side of the pillar thingy, and you're back on US soil, whew)
(Eric got hurt playing ultimate frisbee when one guy went to catch the ball at the same time Eric went to catch the ball, only the other guy caught the ball and ran with it, and took Eric's arm with him)
(The last few moments on Holloman before hittin the road to viva las vegas. Just so you know, that silly Penske truck decided it would be fun to not have any AC as we drove across the 3 hottest states in June)
(I especially miss my classic 1960's accordion doors that conveniently "hid" the washer and dryer)
There have been many trips to Utah this summer since we moved, to escape the mean mean Vegas heat, but now the kids are back in school. Allie loves 1st grade but is leaps and bounds ahead of everyone in her class because unlike her classmates, she had all day Kindergarten in New Mexico for 7 hours a day, while kids here in Nevada went for maybe 3 hours a day. Chase is getting great autism therapy, and even though we swore we'd never live in Vegas again, we're glad we could come here for a while to benefit from the best ABA therapist in the West.
So here's to the next 3-4 years, we'll enjoy it while we're here and when the time comes to leave, we're just hoping it's to somewhere that doesn't get a bazillion degrees in the summer....I hear Germany is nice this time of year.
