Hot in the City

When you live somewhere like the desert, and I'm not talking the 'high desert', I'm talking " The Desert" you tend to want to strip down to your birthday suit whenever possible. Well, at least that's what my kids like to do. That's the thing about summer here. You have to either be inside a place that has A/C, or in water.
When you live somewhere that gets well over 110 degrees outside, summer isn't something you look forward to. I can understand if you live in Minnesota where there's snow on the ground 9.5 months out of the year, you'd probably look forward to summer, but in "The Desert", you kinda, sorta, mostly dread summer coming....except for the summer desert thunderstorms..those are cool i tell ya, cool.

When a person that was born and raised in Las Vegas, leaves Las Vegas, that person will forget how hot the summers can be here. When you come back to said city, you remember very quickly.

Which is why there must be skinny dipping, and naked trike riding.

Last week's temperatures reminded me of how happy I am that we will only be here 3 years, and will go next to somewhere that snows...preferably 9.5 months out of the year.
I'm only kind of kidding. >:>

So here's to you, summer, in all your glory...and ours!!
