It's funny how time flies.
And for some reason, i don't remember him being 2...it seems like he was 3 for a while!
With Chase, he was none the wiser to the fact that it was even his birthday, or what that means...which was to our advantage because we're having a b-day party for him Saturday, and all the cake and presents could wait until then.
If anyone is looking for any last minute gift ideas, and if Chase could tell you...he'd want gum.
Any flavor, any brand, as long as it's gum.
Oh, and Elmo videos, preferably on DVD... since all of his currently are on VHS....i know i know, live in the now right?
(They were Allie's hand-me-downs, and they and my VCR still work perfectly fine thank you, but the rewinding all the time of the said videos gets old, real old.) ...
A cool thing that happened on Chase's b-day was....drum roll please....he finally learned to ride his tricycle. Which let me say, was the cutest darn thing you'd ever seen. I came home from shopping on base Tuesday and I look outside in the backyard and Chase was riding his trike in circles around the pillars in the backyard.
Do you people realize how many years, and hours the physical therapist and I worked with Chase to pedal on that darned tricycle?? His 'low muscle tone' issue never allowed it, until now! That's why it was so exciting, because it shows he's overcoming his limitations continuously. He's gone from a baby that chocked on every drop of milk because his muscles were too weak to swallow, couldn't really smile until he was 1, and not being able to walk until 22 months, after receiving 6 months of rigorous physical therapy, this accomplishment was something to celebrate.
And how cool that it happened on his b-day.
You rock and roll Chase.

That's freaking awesome! Way to go Chaser! I think he has the same trike as Benjamin - who by the way only recently decided it was easier to pedal then to scoot it with his feet. Jake is still in the scooting with his feet stage on his.
That is very cool.
Happy Birthday Chase!
What an amazing birthday gift! That will be be awesome story to tell him when he is older!
