If it hurts, don't do it...

We had 3 birthday parties to attend yesterday.
I only have 2 kids.
We made it to 1.
Due to the fact that the first one we went to was, and I quote "going to be more fun than the others" we stayed at that one the whole scheduled time.
While at the 1 and only party we decided to grace our presence at, Allie banged her knee on the play equipment at the park the party was at, pretty hard.
Her knee now has the privilege of sporting a huge goose egg bruise on it.
Yesterday evening I had this conversation with Allie :

Allie: My knee hurts when I do this...
Me: Do what?
Allie: When I look at my bruise..
Me: When you look at your bruise, it hurts?
Allie: Yep
Me: Hmm, well, how 'bout you don't look at it?..
Allie: Well, that could work but it also hurts when I do this:
( she then proceeds to bend her knee as far as a 6 yr olds knee can bend, and then tries to do the splits)

THE NEXT MORNING
Allie wakes up, comes out into the living room, walks right up to me and says "My arm feels heavy".
Me:Why?
Allie: I'm not sure, but it feels heavy when i do this (she then proceeds to push on her right arm with 2 fingers and then tries to lift her arm)
Me: Hmm, What should we do?
Allie: How do i stop making it feel heavy?
Me: Well...let's see, have you tried not pushing on it?
Allie: Oooohhh, ( she then chuckles and walks over the ottoman to discover why the cat is trying with every bit of her energy to squeeze underneath it at which time Allie proceeds to lift up the ottoman to find the culprit of the cats curiosity)

It was apparent to me then, that her arm was miraculously cured right before my very eyes.
