I've been listening to The Smith's alot lately on my iPod, hence the title of this blog.
Wondering what's up with the pics?
When Eric's is TDY somewhere or on deployment to Iraq, I don't like cooking. I figure, why bother when it would just be me eating it, since Allie thinks she doesn't like anything if it's at all remotely healthy.
So since Eric's is TDY (temporary duty assignment) for a week, we have been eating, whatever we feel like.
Last night, Chase felt like broccoli and a nice bowl of fruity pebbles for dinner. Allie and i ate the pizza that was supposed to go with the broccoli. Broccoli, see...i try to at least give one healthy thing a day. So we eat strange things when he's gone...which, when Eric was in Iraq in 2007, i lost 20 pounds because all we ate, practically every meal, was PB&J with the crusts cut off, well, Allie's anyway. We don't eat them anymore and I don't recommend doing that as your diet. NOT a healthy way to lose weight. Maybe try fruity pebbles and broccoli...ya never know....
Another stange happening is that when Eric is gone, i keep the house so much tidier than when he's here. Don't get me wrong, when he's here it's not like the house is a total wreck all the time, but you'd think that when the hubby is gone, I'd relax a little. But I don't. I've realized that Eric must make a lot of messes because it's soo much easier for me to keep the house clean and tidy and sanitized ;) Good thing he gets back Saturday, who knows how much more weird it could get.
Wonder what's for dinner tonight? Me too, maybe i'll let Chase decide again. Keeps it interesting :)

Fruity pebbles and broccoli sounds like a good meal to me. I mean there is fruit in the the name of fruity pebbles so they have to be nutritious, right!?
I am the same way about food when Darin is gone. I just don't go through the effort when I know my kids are happier with PB celery (M's healthy staple) and some crackers.
Actually, I would prefer to just go to Costco and get the samples for dinner.
