What was your Sunday like?

Did you ever see that movie with Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon? You know, the one where there's that scene where Drew gets really sick and he stays with her all night taking care of her. She wakes up periodically but is pretty comatose throughout the night. Well, that's how I felt Sunday. Let's just say I won't be eating buttered popcorn and coke for a very very long time. And to anyone that lives in Alamogordo, don't eat at Lotaburger. The moment i walked in there, i shoulda known my gut wouldn't be feeling ok hours later! So I didn't hardly sleep Saturday night, too sick, and then Sunday, felt like i was comatose, just waking up periodically.

So, even though my Saturday night and all day Sunday were spent sick as a dog, there are things i am thankful for.
-a husband that stayed up with me all night long while i was sick and would adjust my pillows and went with me to the bathroom everytime I felt sick to hold my hair and rub my back
-a crazy one-eyed kitty that would sit with me on the bathroom floor until Eric would come in with me while i payed tribute to the porcelain god
-a wonderful daughter that colored me 2 pictures to look at when i felt like i was going to throw up because she 'knew that would help me feel better'.

-a son that can entertain himself for hours, even if that means turning off and on the lights over and over and going outside to ring the doorbell over and over :) 2 new things he learned while i was comatose in bed. Then falling asleep at 6:45pm on the couch like this and staying asleep until 7am the next morning. It's funny how Chase sleeps with his eyes open, well, actually, it's kinda creepy :)

-Good friends calling me after church to see if I was ok because i wasn't there. Love you gals!
-Thanks to Melanie Atwood for giving me Tylonol PM, that stuff rocks and helped me finally sleep!
-For Eric calling the Primary President and getting a sub for us.
-Thankful that I got sick saturday night instead of sunday night since I have to drive to El Paso today by myself for a doctor's appt.
-I was finally able to watch "On the Lord's Errand' about the life of President Monson. It was really good.
-Losing 5 pounds! Woo :) I know, not the best way to lose it.

It just seems wrong that a mom has to get sick after her kids have been sick, but that's the way it goes in this family, every time!
My one-eyed crazy cat keeps me entertained while laying in bed sick. She thinks her tail isn't attached to her because she'll watch it moving and then attack it. She watches TV and can follow a housefly with pristine measure, even blind in one eye. She's quite entertaining.
So, even though it sucked being sick, I had Eric to take care of me, and it gave Eric a chance to hang with the kids all day Sunday. He even made them a crockpot dinner, lime garlic chicken with brazilian rice. Good job chef Eric, how's about doin the cooking everynight! Yeah right ;)

That sucks you were sick. It sounds like you were well taken care of. I didn't know Chase could sleep with his eyes open. That is kind of creepy!

It looks like Chase's eyelids aren't long enough to close all the way.
