The Golden Ticket

Having this little ticket was a blessing from the future for me today.
As you can see, it's going to be used tomorrow night, 720pm at the Aviator 10 movie theater and the ticket was free thanks to a movie pass I've been saving for months!! Yeah!

The reason it was a blessing was because, whenever something bad happened to me today, i would think of this little ticket that's tucked in a 'safe spot' in my purse for use tomorrow and all was well. Some examples of things that happened to me today were:

This horrible women at Walmart huffed and puffed and scowled at me and Chase when Chase let out one of his classic 'no warning autistic screams'. I thought of the ticket tucked safely away in my purse...and the women lived to see another day.
Or when Chase was mad at me for giving him a bath, which meant that he had to lay on his back in the tub with his casted leg sticking up in the air, and kicked me square in the stomach, not intentionally) with the casted leg, I thought of my little ticket tucked safely away in my purse...it magically stopped hurting :)
Or when I stepped on Allie's glasses and broke 'em because they were on the floor and blended in with my red Persian rug, it was ok because of that little ticket, you guessed it, tucked safely in my purse.
Or at 3:30am when Eric's alarm on his watch kept going off every 2 minutes like 5 times before I finally found it lodged between my hope chest of the end of the bed (Eric's not here, on TDY)
Or when the cat sneezed in my face at 5:37am, kinda creeped out that she was that close to me when I was asleep...gross.
Or when I lost track of time and was a couple of minutes late picking up Allie from school, and i had to run from the parking lot, which those of you who know me, really know me, know that i can't run due to Chase being a really really really big baby and sitting on my bladder too long in utero, and then getting up to the door and her teacher telling me they were in FCPON Delta and I needed to show my I.D, which i had left back in the car. (The base has been 'playing war' all week), it was ok because, yep, you guessed it...the ticket tucked safely away in my purse.
Or when I dropped Allie off at school for breakfast and the playground monitor came running at me with her hand held straight out in a 'you better stop' position then proceeded to yell at me with a waving finger in my face for 'parking too close to the playground'...she got to keep her finger because of that little ticket tucked safely away in my purse!! haha.
Or when I accidentally vacuumed up water and then Tang...accidentally ..imagine how fun that was to clean outta my vacuum. Thank goodness Dyson vacuums can be taken COMPLETELY apart.

I'm grateful to be going with my best girlfriends and that they all wanted to wear shirts so we can be fabulously dorky middle aged women together, wearing shirts with Edwards face on them, while we scream, dream, laugh, and sigh during Twilight tomorrow night as we watch the story that captured us in ink on paper unfold on the big screen. The sighing will be happening when Edward looks at Bella the first time in such a way that would melt even an ice cube in Alaska...that one was for you Amanda ;)
For all of you ladies, and men that are choosing to see the great movie and possibly the one's that are being dragged to see Twilight tomorrow, my bro-in-law being one of them (you're a good husband Aaron, and I PROMISE you'll enjoy the movie, you'll see) i wish you much enjoyment and solace in finally seeing the amazing book come to life.
Until next time, I leave you with a quote from Twilight: "So what you're saying is, I'm your brand of heroin?"
"You're exactly my brand of heroin."

Kudos for your shout out to Aaron about being dragged to the movie. I think he might like it but he's mostly going because I'm pregnant and he feels bad telling me no! What you do for love, right?! Enjoy the show. I too was going to get a shirt but they don't come in Maternity.

Holy Cow, was that list really just one day? One thing after the other! Glad you had a little moral booster on you to get through it!

I loved reading this post. It reminded me that I need to see if the library has Twilight available (or I'll have to convince my neighbor to let me borrow her copy). I'm going out of town for Thanksgiving, so I'm torn over whether I should see the movie first, or wait until after I read the book. Our theater only shows 1 movie at a time and it's a bit of a toss up on if it will make it to Ely.

I had a GREAT time today making our shirts! It was sooo much fun and I laughed sooo hard at some of the ideas. Esp. when Elaine called and said that she wanted that one particular shirt in her cute little voice. ;0) See you in a few hours with my new shirt!
